La final del Albanian Festivali i Këngës ha tenido lugar esta noche en el Palacio de Congresos de Tirana. Veinte actos compitieron por el galardón y por el derecho a representar a Albania en Eurovisión 2012. Rona Nishliu fue la favorita del jurado profesional y automáticamente se convirtió en la ganadora de la preselección y ondeará la bandera albanesa por Bakú.
Veinte actos han competido esta noche en la preselección albanesa para el Festival de Eurovisión 2012. Rona Nishliu captó el voto del jurado y representará al país adriático en la próxima edición. Rona nació el 25 de Agosto de 1986 en Mitrovica, Kosovo. Se hizo famosa después de participar en Albanian Idol en 2004 consiguiendo estar entre las cinco primeras.
Albania competirá en una de las dos semifinales del Festival de Eurovisión 2012.

Este es el diseño que usaremos para la edición próxima del Festival de Eurovisión, que se celebrará en Bakú.
El diseño consta de dos partes:

1) La recopilación de canciones.
Básicamente, hemos mantenido el diseño de 2011, cambiandole la tipografía, y el efecto en las banderitas. Esta no es la versión definitiva, puesto que desde que subimos el video, hemos hecho un par de retoques pero ésta es una maqueta para hacernos una idea:

2) El marcador que usaremos para daros los resultados de la Simulación de Votos 2012. Como el año pasado, haremos una simulación de las votaciones en función de los resultados que obtengamos de las encuestas de cada país, y los votos usuales de los mismos a lo largo de estos últimos años. Próximamente explicaremos más detalladamente el proceso que usaremos. Mientras tanto os dejamos el marcador que usaremos para daros los votos:
TVE ha anunciado que Pastora Soler nos representará en la próxima edición del Festival de Eurovisión. Este año, la emisora española ha optado por seleccionar a su artista internamente. La canción, será elegida en una preselección en Febrero, en la que participarán jurado profesional y audiencia en un 50% cada uno.
El anuncio fue oficial a las 12:00 CET en el sitio web de RTVE y en el programa de televisión Las Mañanas de La 1: Pastora Soler tendrá el gran honor de llevar la bandera española a Azerbaiyán el año que viene en Bakú. Ella es hoy en día una de las artistas más conocidas en nuestro país.
Pastora Soler es una artista española nacida en Coria del Río y empezó su carrera musical desde niña, concentrando su música en la copla española. Grabó y publicó su primer álbum titulado Nuestras coplas en el año 1994. Más tarde, en 1996, lanzó su segundo álbum El mundo que soñé. En 1999 saltó a la fama con su tercer trabajo, Fuente de luna, con el que vendió 120,000 copias en España. Dámelo ya y La brisa, fueron dos singles que estaban dentro de este álbum y con los que gozó de gran éxito en nuestro país. Incluso, Damelo ya consiguió cierta popularidad en Turquía.
Pastora ha disfrutado de fama en España, hasta lanzar un total de 11 trabajos, y es conocida sobre todo por incluir temas de flamenco y pop en sus CDs. Ha estado presente varias ocasiones el La Ópera del Cairo, Egipto.
En 2011, fue nominada al Premio Grammy Latino por el mejor álbum de flamenco. Sú último trabajo, el undécimo de su carrera, ha sido lanzado hace poco. Éste ha estado producido por Pablo Pinilla e incluye singles como Demasiado amor o Yo no te pido la luna.
España debutó en el Festival de Eurovisión en 2011 y desde entonces ha participado de forma ininterrumpida, obteniendo como resultado dos victorias consecutivas en 1968 y 1969.

Magdalena Tul representó a Polonia en el Festival de Eurovisión 2011, obteniendo como resultado una no clasificación a la final. Después de Düsseldorf, ha estado principalmente preparando su nuevo album con Michał Nocny. Hoy, la cantante polaca ha lanzado en Youtube – y anunciando también en Facebook - una nueva canción titulada I'll Never Forget que puedes escuchar a continuación.

En nuestra última encuesta, les preguntamos su favorito para ir al Festival de Eurovisión entre una serie de rumores que se barajeaban.
La clara favorita ha sido Kate Ryan por Bélgica, con 46% de los votos. La cantante dance belga afirmó que solo volvería al Festival si la VRT, cadena belga encargada de seleccionar el representante flamenco en Eurovisión, le proponía la idea de representar a Bélgica, y tener la oportunidad de quitarse la espina de 2006 donde no consiguió estar en la final con Je t'adore.
Otras de las favoritas han sido las Spice Girls, con un 26%. La líder del grupo, habría propuesto a las demás componentes enviar una canción a la BBC inglesa y poder representar a los británicos en la próxima edición, pero ninguna de las dos partes ha hecho declaraciones oficiales al respecto.
El resto de los candidatos han obtenido estos resultados: Falete (España) 11%; System Of A Down (Armenia) 11%; Hari Mata Hari (Bosnia-Herzegovina) 3%; y Lena Katina (Rusia) y David Hasselhof (Países Bajos) no obtuvieron ningún voto.
En estos últimos días, ha sido confirmado que ni System Of A Down, ni David Hasselhof irán a Eurovisión.

The Swiss broadcaster SF is starting to publish the entries that will
compete in the internet phase of the country's selection for Eurovision
2012. So far, 12 songs are available on SF's internet platform.
Submissions period opened on September 1st and will remain so
until September 30th. A panel of experts and the online voting will then
allow six songs to proceed to the televised national final, scheduled
to take place on December 10th in Kreuzlingen. A total of fourteen acts
will compete in the show. RSI will contribute two acts, while French
speaking broadcaster RTS will send three entries, same number as
radiostation DRS3.

Anna Rossinelli won the 2011 edition of Die grosse Entsheidungs Show, thus becoming the Swiss representative in Eurovision. She qualified for the final, but came last with the song In love for a while.

Just a week after it was rumoured David Hasselhoff would take part in the Eurovision Song Contest, another world name is in the gossip mills. Namely, the former popular girlband, Spice Girls, is said to be interested in taking part in Europe's favourite TV-show.According to several media publications all over Europe, Geri Halliwell, member of the band, has proposed a reunion for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
According to the sources, Halliwell thinks the Spice Girls could do what the 2011 United Kingdom contestant, Blue, couldn't and bring home the victory.
So far, not the band nor the UK broadcaster, BBC, have confirmed nor denied the rumours.
The Spice Girls were a British pop girl group formed in 1994. The group consisted of Victoria Beckham (née Adams), Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell .
They were signed to Virgin Records and released their debut single, Wannabe in 1996, which hit number-one in more than 30 countries and helped establish the group as a global phenomenon.
Credited for being the pioneers that paved the way for the commercial breakthrough of teen pop in the late 1990s, their debut album, Spice, sold more than 23 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by a female group in music history.

On 16 May 2011, it was announced that a special concert complex with 20,000 seats for Eurovision 2012 is to be built near National Flag Square in Baku. Furthermore, Baku Boulevard will be extended to the National Flag Square before the beginning of the contest. However, on 19 May 2011, organisers announced that they may use the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium which contains 37,000 seats, or the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex. On 4 August 2011, it was confirmed that the laying of foundations for the Baku Concert Arena has started near the National Flag Square. Tofiq Bahramov Stadium, which is currently under repairs to host the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in September-October 2012, will be used as a back-up option.
The Baku Concert Arena would have around 50.000 seats.
The first contestant of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 has been internally selected by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC). Ivi Adamou won the Cypriot ticket to Baku and will get the chance to represent the Eastern Mediterranean country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012.
Cyprus is the first country to announce their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Popular singer Ivi Adamou was selected internally by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation CyBC to perform on the Eurovision stage. It is still unknown how the songs will be chosen but it's likely that a national final will be held in order to determine the winning entry.
Ivi Adamou is a popular Cypriot singer who rose to fame after participating in the Greek version of the X Factor show where she placed 8th. During her participation in the show she was mentored by Cypriot composer Giorgos Theofanous who signed the musicfor his country's Eurovision entries in 1992, 1994 and 2002.

The Belgian queen of dance and pop music Kate Ryan, who represented Belgium at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Je t'adore, has recently given an interview to Belgian eurovision website eurosong.be where she reveals that she will be ready to go to Eurovision. Kate Ryan is among Belgium's most sought after artists enjoying great name internationally specially in France, Spain, Germany and Poland.
Kate Ryan said that if Belgian broadcaster VRT,approached her to represent Belgium, she would consider it and go for it again despite her dissapointing result in 2006 in Athens. Despite her poor result at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, the Belgian beauty has gone places since, thus achieving an international career which has both give her name and fame overseas as well as at home soil in Belgium.
Kate Ryan is currently touring Europe promoting her latest album. She recently released her latest single. Will she be back at the Eurovision Song Contest? Will she represent Belgium or another country?
Some days after Eurovision Song Contest 2011, we asked you in a poll what was your opinion about the results. 38% of the voters are completely disagree with the results. This may be because a lot of favourites in the eurofans' polls, obtained low results. For example, the absolute favourite in this polls, Hungary, was 22nd. France, leader in the odds, got only the 15th position. Estonia, other of this favorites was penultimate. United Kingdom and Ireland were 11th and 8th respectively.
In the other side, the 23% of the voters are completely agree with the results. They can think surprises like Ukraine in the 4th position, Greece in the 7th or Italy in the 2nd obtained the correct position according to their tastes. Otherwise, they can think favourites like Sweden or Azerbaijan got right results.
In conclusion, there are a lot of musical tastes, and each person can think their favourites got the correct or the incorrect positions. But all the opinions has to be respected.
European Broadcasting Union (EBU) officially reveals the split televoting and jury voting results of the Semi-Finals and Final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Viewers at home also ranked winner Azerbaijan first, while juries of music industry professionals had Italy on top of their list.
1 to 8, 10 and 12 points were given by juries and televoters in each country, then combined, and the combined top-10 would determine the actual vote given by that respective country (final result), whereas jury and televoting counted for 50% each.
Viewers at home ranked Azerbaijan's entry Running Scared first with 223 points, while juries awarded the song a second place. Italy won the jury vote, but ended up on the second place in the combined result after televoters had made up their minds.
We have just put the new poll with all 43 countries that will take part in Düsseldorf on next 14th May. Now, we're going to describe you the process for the Voting Simulation of this year: -The old poll has been deleted, and in this Official Poll, all countries start their scores with 0 points. For the Voting Simulation we're going to count only the results of this new poll. -In the Voting Simulation all the countries will vote (the same that the real Eurovision). For take the points of each country we use this values: 40% the results of the poll, 30% a jury and 30% the usual votes from 2003 to 2010. -On 25th April, we're going to upload the qualifiers of each final, and those finalists will joint with Germany, Spain, Italy, France and United Kingdom, for the Voting Simulation. -The final results will upload on 1st May.
